HelloKnitty was started in Seattle in April 2003 by an avid knitter, Virginia Thomas. My mission is to provide original knitting patterns and designs and great yarns. I have been enjoying all aspects of building a small business, from sitting down with pencil and paper and drawing out new ideas to creating this web site.

Luckily, my friends have been super supportive in my endeavors and have been helping out with photo shoots and providing great models for pictures of my knitwear. I want to especially thank Derek Wong (www.dwongphotography.com), a budding Seattle photographer, for donating his time and skills to provide us with fantastic photos. Derek and model, Parinaz, are pictured below at Pike Place Market here in Seattle, where all of these Fall pictures were taken.

Last Summer, Derek helped out with taking photos for our Spring/Summer designs. I want to thank Seattle model Jenny for posing with our knitwear at Alki Beach in West Seattle. Our web site would not look this professional without the help from these people. Thank you!!!
